RESIDENTS in properties set to begin Wychavon District Council’s new waste and recycling scheme will get information packs explaining the change.
The scheme will begin in some areas on Monday, September 29.
Residents in phase one of the new wheelie bin roll-out will find an information pack under the lid of their grey bin.
In the pack they will find a leaflet explaining the new waste and recycling scheme and the date of their first collection and which bin will be collected on that date.
Residents will also receive an information leaflet as to the types of liners that can be used in their food caddies. These have to be made to British Standard BSEN13432. Alternatively, the food caddies can be lined with newspaper or waste can be left loose.
Residents should note that no plastic bags are to be used to line the food caddies, or placed within them.
People who have completed and sent in an alternative service arrangements form will receive a letter before the start of the new waste and recycling scheme, notifying them of the council’s decision.
For more information go to www.wychavon.gov.uk and click on the waste and recycling link, or telephone 01386 565006.
